Q + A

Am I invited to both weddings?

Yes! We figure our family and friends in the US might lean more towards the Virgin Islands, and Audrey's Euro buddies, artists and expats probably want to meet up in Amsterdam... but whatever, you do you!

What's the difference between the two weddings?

Virgin Islands: We're having a tropical beach ceremony with a waterfront Caribbean reception. Amsterdam: We're having a casual city reception a la boat tour along the canals.

Can I bring a guest?

If you're coming from out of town, of course! If you're coming from around the block, I'm sure your friends will be waiting!

Do I win a prize for making it to both weddings?!

YES!

What are my cheapest/best options for getting to St Thomas, USVI?

Spirit, Sun Country and Frontier are the low-cost airlines that come to St Thomas (Cyril E. King International Airport is the official name). You can get here in a day if you leave early, or you might want to stay the night in Fort Lauderdale or San Juan. JetBlue, United, American and Delta have direct flights from hubs like Atlanta, Charlotte, JFK, Boston and Miami. Coming from the Caribbean? Silver Airways, Cape Air, Fly The Whale and Seaborne all fly into STT. You can also ferry direct from Road Town, BVI, St Croix, USVI and Virgin Gorda, BVI.

What are my cheapest/best options for getting to Amsterdam?

Traveling across the pond? We find that search engines like Google Flights, Kayak.com and Skyscanner.net give the cheapest, quickest, and best deals on international flights. (Pro tip: Make sure to keep your arrival and departure dates flexible by a day or two for the best deal!)

Where's the honeymoon guys?!

If I come, what else are you planning?

Virgin Islands: Definitely a swim and snorkel boat tour, some tiki bar hopping, live music, sea turtles, sunsets, and aimless beach hanging. Amsterdam: Definitely canal boat rides, some bicycle and beer touring, live music, and aimless city wandering.

Where could I travel to after the wedding?

Virgin Islands: Our backyard is literally the British Virgin Islands, accessible by a quick ferry ride (don't forget your passport). St. Croix and St John are two other US Virgin Islands to explore, and the Spanish Virgin Islands like Culebra, Vieques and even Puerto Rico are the hidden gems! Amsterdam: You're just a few hours away from Brussels, Paris, London, Cologne and Berlin by direct train! If you want to fly, low-cost airlines like EasyJet take you straight to Barcelona, Venice, Lisbon and more!

Where should I stay on St Thomas?

Look into hotels, AirBnBs, and resorts around the East End of the island. Red Hook is the marina town activities are based from. Places nearby include Margaritaville, Point Pleasant Resort, Sapphire Beach Resort, Elysian by Wyndham, Ritz Carlton by Marriott, Secret Harbor Beach Resort, Limetree and Frenchman's Reef by Marriott. Budget-friendly 3-stars include Bluebeard's Castle, Mafolie Hotel, Olga's Fancy. AirBnB locations include Red Hook, Sapphire, Cowpet Bay, and Havensight. Staying in Charlotte Amalie? No problem, car rentals and taxi's are easy. Want to stay on St John? The Red Hook Ferry is only $8 each way and less than a mile from the activities.
